will explore representational, abstract, andconceptual
sensibilities through drawing, painting, whileusing a
wide range of media from charcoal and pastel on paper;
water-color and ink painting, mixed media andcollage,
and acrylic paint on canvas. Students learn to hone their
skills into personal statements of self-expression by
developing unique portfolios and a personal voice. |
Students
will learn how to create self-portraits using avariety
of media and approaches. Realism, self expression,anatomical
proportions, and form are explored as studentsstudy portrait
composition and allow for artistic expression. |
Students
will learn anatomy, gesture drawing, figureproportions,
using a variety of materials and techniques. Students
will work from a live model and will explore composition
and visual
expression by observing the human form. |
